I’m participating in Tour for Kids, Ontario! This summer I’ll be once again joining hundreds of cyclists in Tour for Kids, an epic cycling adventure in support of children living with and beyond cancer. As I grind out 200km to 250km for 4 straight days, the donations I raise will go to three special camp organizations dedicated to bringing laughter, smiles and treatments to thousands of children dealing with cancer. Remarkably, these camps do not receive government funding so they must rely on donations such as yours to carry on their essential programs year upon year. The money I raise through Tour for Kids will benefit the thousands of kids served by Camp Trillium, Camp Quality and Camp Oochigeas. You can help me - help the campers - by pledging my effort. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors such as Investors Group, our Foundation and event costs such as administrative fees, are covered so we can continue to ensure that absolutely 100% of your tax receiptable donations benefit children living with cancer. You can be part of the difference for kids with cancer. Please make a secure donation online or with PayPal, click on the following link. secure.e2rm.com/registrant/FundraisingPage.aspx?SID=4625125&LangPref=en-CAThanks in advance for your generosity Sincerely, Jason May

Well shockingly enough I made it. I've done this ride 6 times now but never in my life have I ridden in wind like we had for these 4 days. I actually have bruising on the outside of my quads from the ride. The Saturday ride was particularly challenging as we I rode 242 often solo kilometres in a 50km cross head wind, the last 80 also had a thunderstorm thrown in for good measure. Fortunately that same day we stopped by camp Trillium which is one of the children's oncology camps the funds we raise go to support. We were given a tour and shown all the facilities this event has funded the construction of as well met some of the cancer stricken children who are cared for there and their appreciative families. It was a timely reminder of why all this effort was so worth while.
I want to give a massive thanks to all those club members who donated funds to my ride this year. You're generosity is amazing and greatly appreciated. Hope to see you all on a club ride soon but It may take a week or two before I sit on a bike seat again.
Cheers.

Well done sir. That was one heck of a week (weather wise), really long rides out in that crap. Way to suffer, and hope you're up to it again next year, it can't get any worse...
